Move before you’re ready

post

Most people wait too long to go into action. Generally out of fear. They want more money or better circumstances. You must go in the opposite direction and move before you think you are ready.

It’s as if you are making things a little bit more difficult for yourself that you deliberately create obstacles in your path and make it more difficult to succeed. The law of power says your energy will rise to the appropriate level that it needs to be. When you feel that you must work harder to get to your goal because you are not quite prepared, you will become more alert and more attentive. This venture, this task, this mission has to succeed and SO IT WILL.

These four steps will help you to do it and, more importantly, do it successfully?

  1. Set aggressive goals with deliberate deadlines. Tangible and practiced goals with deliberate outcomes. Stop running around doing random work, tasks and unnecessary shit! End of quarter goals and end of month goals.
  2. Put evidence procedures in place. Write a description of everything that is true when you hit these goals. A set of affirmations that are true when your goal is accomplished. This is important. This helps to overcome the pain and the barriers you are putting in place.
  3. Now set weekly outcomes. A year = 52 weeks. 52 matches you have to light…which one will keep burning? Which one will you encourage and nurture so that at the end of the year it is burning brighter than ever?  Now split this into smaller parts; smaller chunks assigned to particular days.
  4. Every single morning you wake up,  you must have a set of deliverables. Now put yourself on “death ground”. I hope some of you are familiar with this term. But, in short, when someone faces the prospect of death, they will fight tooth and nail to survive. Each and every day you want to turn the pressure up. How? First, set up your environment to excel! Your office, your diet, your friends, your home. The subconscisou is 100 X more powerful than the conscious mind. So craft your environment to succeed.  Second, create accountability. Announce your goals to someone and make them check in with you every single week. Third, make a power move. Put yourself in a situation to execute a big chess move. Commit to do something huge. A power move is the absolute key to this entire process – it gives you something to gain momentum. Fourth, exaggerate the cost of not doing something. Human beings are more motivated by pain than by pleasure. We are wired to survive. In other words; avoid dying. We do a lot in life to avoid pain. Think about the price of you not moving. Think about the price you will pay for sitting still.

You need to experiment with exaggerating the cost of NOT moving. What won’t you have? Think about where you will be? You won’t be in the same place if you stay in the same position – it will actually be a regression because you’re not growing. The reason you don’t move is because you’re afraid! Afraid not to make the money, afraid to be laughed at, afraid to fail, afraid that you won’t reach the goal. When you DWELL ON YOUR FEARS – it paralyses you. Remind yourself of what you should really be afraid of? Of standing still! Of being like everyone else. Of being average.

You don’t want to be like everyone else. You are not average.

Most of the time – what we consider to be moving fast…is actually snails pace. Can you ever think of a time where you thought – I should have waited longer?!

NEVER.

So what decisions are you putting off? You need to make the decision to want to be bigger and better.

Make a move and start living the life you were born to live.

Live the life you love.
